How is the cleaning result compared to PER and KWL?
In the classic cleaning process, the cleaning result is comparable to that of KWL.
However, the fabric has an even softer and more pleasant handle, creases significantly less and thus the finishing effort is lower.
In the Energized DC Naturell® process, cleaning results are achieved that are hardly inferior to classic cleaning in perchloroethylene.
What are the advantages of the solvent compared to KWL?
With the same or better cleaning performance as KWL, DC Naturell® is less problematic to use.
There is no hazardous material classification. The flash point is 77 °C and thus more than 15 °C higher than that of KWL solvents (61 °C).
The risk of bacteria formation in the cleaning machine is considerably lower with DC Naturell® than with KWL.
With appropriate care, no unpleasant odours are caused by bacteria.
What are the advantages of the solvent compared to perchloroethylene?
Due to the restrictive evaluation of PER, the number of cleaning companies using PER will continue to decrease.
DC Naturell® is an odour-free and environmentally friendly alternative for the future of textile care.
What about workwear containing oil?
Here too, the Energized DC Naturell® process can safely remove this type of soiling.
What about water-soluble stains?
Depending on the machine type and process, water-soluble stains can be removed very well by using cleaning boosters and cleaning activators and water.

|
How high is the ironing effort?
DC Naturell® is a silicone based solvent. Silicones have the property to coat and protect the fibre.
This improves the ironing properties and the ironing effort is greatly reduced.
Cleaning and care of the solvent with distillation
When cleaning and maintaining the solvent with the help of distillation, only the cost of the energy used is incurred.
Time and product costs due to the addition and disposal of additional filter aids are not incurred.
Grease and other substances that are difficult to remove by filtration are reliably removed.
Errors are reduced to a minimum. Any coloured residues from over-dyed clothing or ballpoint pens are safely distilled out.
Cleaning and maintenance of the solvent without distillation
Cleaning and maintenance of the solvent is possible with the help of so-called filter aids.
Careful maintenance and adherence to the procedures is mandatory here in order to maintain the solvent quality.
How high is the solvent consumption?
Exact consumption values can be obtained from the various machine manufacturers.
According to experience, the consumption is on average less than 1% in relation to the mass of the cleaned fabric (thick or thin fabric), depending on the fabric usage.
|
|
What does DC Naturell® solvent cost?
The prices for DC Naturell® can fluctuate depending on the availability of raw materials.
DC Naturell® has a very low solvent consumption, depending on the machine type.
|
|
How will I be supported by SEITZ during the conversion and application?
SEITZ has put together a package for the optimum application of the DC Naturell® process.
This package includes the creation of the cleaning programs, the training of your employees on the new tools and their application, as well as extensive advertising material.

Which permits do I need / respectively which regulations do I have to observe for the operation of a DC Naturell® cleaning machine compared to KWL?
DC Naturell® and the associated products naturally fulfil the requirements of the 31st BImSchV.
In this context, all limit values with regard to concentrations, according to the 31st BImSchV, Appendix III, Point 3.1.2, must be complied with.
The following points, among others, must be observed:
- The cleaning and drying of the cleaning material must take place in a closed system according to the state of the art.
- an automatic interlock must ensure that the loading door cannot be opened until the drying process has been completed,
when the mass concentration of D5 in the drum no longer exceeds a value of 5 g/cbm according to the result of a continuous metrological check,
- the mass concentration in the exhausted, undiluted waste gas from a mass flow of more than 0,2 kg/h (155l/h),
averaged over the drying or blow-out phase, shall not exceed 0.15 g/cbm.
- the permissible emission limit value shall be 20 g/kg of cleaned and dried product
- in order to comply with the VOC guidelines, a solvent balance must be drawn up annually.
- Expertise according to BGR 500 is required.
|
|
How can I dispose of the distillation and filtration residues?
The waste and thus the distillation and filtration residues must be recycled or disposed of as hazardous waste by a suitable disposal company.
How can I dispose of the contact water?
When disposing of the contact water, the waste water discharge limit value of 20mg/l must not be exceeded. If the value is higher, it must be treated.
|
|
In which cleaning machines can I work with DC Naturell®?
It can be used in all cleaning machines that are sold by the machine manufacturers as "multi-solvent machines".
Whether older KWL machines can be converted must be checked by the machine manufacturers in each individual case.
Can I impregnate in the cleaning machine?
If the process instructions are observed, impregnation with Cetox KWI is possible.
How many DC Naturell® machines are there?
Worldwide there are about 2000 plants working with D5. Of these, approx. 600 are in the USA.
In Europe, D5 is mainly used in England, France and Germany.
Which manufacturers offer DC Naturell® machines?
D5 machines are offered by all well-known machine manufacturers in Germany.
|
|
Which tools are required?
The same groups of auxiliaries are used as for PER and KWL.
Pre-thatching agent: Solvex 1, 2, 3
Brushing agent: Polysol GE
Cleaning intensifier: Earth Clean GE
Filter powder: Clinosolv Adsorb
What is the function of the cleaning booster EarthClean GE?
The cleaning booster in DC Naturell® has the special task of binding water in addition to the known properties from cleaning with classic solvents in DC Naturell®,
as the solvent itself cannot perform this task.
Good water binding capacity allows to dissolve water soluble soiling very well and to remove this soiling without it rising again and giving grey stains or edges.
What is the function of Polysol GE?
Polysol GE is a low irritant brushing-on agent that is excellently suited for the pre-touching of all kinds of stains.
Polysol GE is effective on both wet and greasy stains. Coloured textiles are not affected.
Polysol GE rinses out without problems during the cleaning treatment.
What is the function of the cleaning activator Polysol JET?
Polysol Jet is used in the pretreatment for spraying wet soiling.
Polysol Jet is low irritant and skin friendly when sprayed, as it is free of any solvents.

What is Energized DC Naturell®?
Energized DC Naturell® is a process developed and tested by SEITZ which allows to run DC Naturell® at higher temperatures (up to 40°C) with absolute safety for the textiles.
What is special about Energized DC Naturell®?
Due to the higher temperatures, the cleaning effect increases exponentially according to Sinner's circle, as can also be observed with water.
Doesn't this make the warm solvent too aggressive and attack the paints?
Years of tests have shown that this almost does not happen. The product comes out of the machine almost new.
As with all solvents, there are of course one or two exceptions,
but our extensive tests have shown that this happens much less often than with all other solvents.
Is it always necessary to clean with warm solvent?
The warm solvent is a switchable option.
If very delicate garments are to be cleaned, the option can simply be switched off and cleaned in cold solvent (leather, furs, silk, etc.).
How is the solvent heated?
The solvent is heated differently depending on the type of machine. Heat exchangers are usually used for this purpose.
What is the grease dissolving power?
With the Energized DC Naturell® process we have the best grease dissolving power of all environmentally friendly solvents to date and almost achieve the grease dissolving power of perchloroethylene.
Does a heated solvent reduce my energy requirements for drying and distillation?
The solvent is already brought to a higher energy level in the first bath by heating it up.
Thus it needs less energy to reach the evaporation temperature.
By working at higher temperatures, the entire energy level remains in the machine throughout the day, thus requiring less energy for distillation and drying.

|
May I change the DC Naturell® logo to my taste (colour, font etc)?
The logo must be used unchanged in its form.
What marketing tools are there to support DC Naturell® cleaners?
SEITZ provides you with advertising material in the form of logos, flyers, iron-on tags, window stickers and posters which enable you to inform your customers about the process.
