Protection
Protection
Protection – Care guideline for protective fireproof clothing!
- Always wash the protective clothing separately so as not to adversely alter the non-flammable or flame retardant properties of the clothing, and to avoid carrying off contaminations to other areas.
- The pH-value of the washing bath must be between 7 and 9 during the care cycle.
- Before washing, close all Velcro closures or cover them with Velcro complements available from the clothing supplier.
- Do not pierce the protective clothing with sharp objects such as needles.
- Before washing remove all detachable metal parts (e.g. snap hooks) and removable labelling from the back and remember to empty the pockets.
- If it is possible to separate the breathable membrane and the insulating lining from the shell, then these parts should be treated in a separate washing cycle.
The machine technology
Protective clothing should be washed in wet cleaning or washing machines with a minimum volume capacity of 15kg.
The machine's capacity should be used to a maximum 75% only, in order to avoid excessive mechanical stress during the washing treatment.
